“Pro terra” Foundation Centre of Ecological Education for Sustainable Development was established in 2009 at an initiative of Remondis Sanitech Poznań Sp. z o. o. The Foundation works in the area of public benefit. Our mission is education towards sustainable development, increasing the ecological awareness in local societies and forming positive ecological attitude.
It’s not enough to enjoy the beauty of nature and complain about hazards caused by human civilization. It’s necessary to help people to understand the complexity of the problem, encourage them to take a step forward and to initiate local activities improving social awareness.
The aim of the “Pro terra” Foundation is to conduct comprehensive activities for environment protection in Poland from the consequences of socio-economic human activity (ecological education). The objectives of our activity are mainly to popularize the idea of sustainable development, understood as an aspiration for reaching the balance between the society and economic prosperity as well as culture, tradition and the protection of Earth’s natural sources, promoting ecological awareness in society.
The Foundation realize its aims through the following activities : ecological education for the society aiming at environment protection (spreading knowledge of environment protection/ecology) by organizing and conducting trainings, lectures, workshops, courses, classes, seminaries, conferences etc.
“Pro terra” Foundation unites people interested in subject of sustainable development, urge to participate in varied environmentally concentrated projects or searching for possibilities of realizing their own ideas and passions. Only together we can make a change.
